About Us
Aspinwall Church Ministries is a multi-cultural and multi-faceted ministry serving in the Cleveland, Ohio area. We have been serving our community since 1936. Our worship is spiritually oriented, informal, and spontaneous. It is based on the pattern of God's Word. Aspinwall Church is involved in community outreach with feeding the homeless through our GLOW ministries, has a vibrant youth ministry for all ages of children, operates an active senior citizens outreach, and is involved in local, national, and worldwide missions. 

Our History
Our church started in a tent meeting on the corner of East 79th Street and St. Clair. Our first church was a rented store front building located at 795 East 152nd Street. The church met in the right side and the pastor’s family lived upstairs. The second building was at 15415 Kipling Avenue.
In 1952, the congregation purchased a lot on the corner of East 147th Street and Aspinwall Avenue. In 1964, the church began to construct a new sanctuary and Sunday School facility that seated approximately 250. On Easter Sunday 1984, we began construction again. We connected a new sanctuary, fellowship hall, and Sunday school rooms to the existing church building on East 147th Street. Our first service in the new sanctuary was on March 23, 1986. This Sanctuary has seating for approximately 500 worshippers.
For 80 years, the Aspinwall Church has faithfully and effectively proclaimed the Gospel of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio and around the world. 

Our Purpose
We use five key words to summarize Christ’s purpose for the church
Magnify: We celebrate God’s presence in worship
Membership: We incorporate God’s family into our fellowship
Mission: We communication God’s word through evangelism
Maturity: We educate God’s people through discipleship
Ministry: We demonstrate God’s love through service
These represent our five purposes and have been incorporated into our mission statement which reads:
“To bring people to Jesus and membership into his family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God’s name.”

Our Belief

• The Bible to be inspired, the only infallible authoritative Word of God.
• There is one God, eternally existent in three persons; namely, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
  The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning sacrifice through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
• The salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential.
• Justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
• Sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the word, and by the Holy Ghost.
• The full Gospel includes holiness of health and life, healing for the body and the baptism in the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
• The present ministry of the Holy Ghost by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
• Water baptism by immersion and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
• The Lord’s Supper and washing of saint’s feet.
• The pre-millennial second coming of Jesus: first, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air; second, to reign on the earth one thousand years.
• The bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
